REST

So then, there remains a Sabbath rest for the people of God, for whoever has entered God's rest has also rested from his works as God did from his. Let us therefore strive to enter that rest, so that no one may fall by the same sort of disobedience. HEBREWS 4:9‭-‬11, ESV.

So we conclude that there is still a full and complete “rest” waiting for believers to experience. As we enter into God’s faith-rest life we cease from our own works, just as God celebrates his finished works and rests in them. So then we must give our all and be eager to experience this faith-rest life, so that no one falls short by following the same pattern of doubt and unbelief. HEBREWS 4:9‭-‬11, TPT.

Rest is such a beautiful reality. To be still and quiet on the inside especially when external activities are in an uproar. To find joy in the speakings of the Holy Spirit because His whispers are more than whispers, they are reverberations of life in the silence. To be satisfied even when the words of the Comforter are unworded. Rest! This product of faith is wonder to me.

RELEARNING

Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. PHILIPIANS 4:9, KJV.

Follow the example of all that we have imparted to you and the God of peace will be with you in all things. PHILIPIANS 4:9, TPT.

Sonship. The essence of salvation. The reason Jesus my Lord and saviour made himself of no reputation, took on the form of man (a desecration of his majestic nature) to suffer scorn and rejection. Sonship. The greatest gift of God to man. The reason our relationship isn't just Creator-Creature but Father-Son. The reason for the bond and intimacy words will never be able to articulate. Sonship is the wonder at the core of my heart. It's the revelation that has opened me up to another dimension of awe. Could God really be this good? Did he really allow himself be my identity? Am I really this good? Is my nature really the full expression of love as my maker and Father is?

OCEANS AND DEPTHS

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. PHILIPIANS 4:7, KJV.
And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. PHILIPPIANS 4:7, AMP.

There is a certain type of quiet in the atmosphere of my spirit. It's an unprecedented expression of still. As sounds, voices and echos fill the air with an overwhelming pressure, all I hear is quiet and my heart response is still. He says it's peace. I have peace. He says I am calm and I must value and acclimatize to the quiet and still. He didn't say calm just because, He said that is my name and nature. So in the ocean, in the depths of the ocean where the storm finds expression He says I must not lose myself. Calm must be. In it's being, there is quiet and in quiet there are rhythms, unspoken rhythms and tunes that He sings over me. As he sings He wants us to do the lover's dance. He wants me to dance with Him from my core in the ocean storm and depths. He wants a hearty dance as the rage of the storm serve as instrumentals to the song He sings. My lover, the strangest of all yet the one who sees and knows my all like no one does in his tender fiery gaze. He wants a dance in the ocean and deep as I be “calm”.

ENDLESS NEW

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. EZEKIEL 36:26, ESV.

His words came to me saying "I will make wine out of you, even new wine will I make". I didn't understand, the concept was too grand. What is wine? What is new wine? How long does it take to make wine? Who am I that I would be made new and not just new, new wine? How long till the newness fades? Am I not wine already? Does He mean He wants to change my wineskin? I really don't understand. It's just two words but it's shaking my world and I can feel displacement inside of me.

HEED

Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. HEBREWS 2:1, KJV.
So we must listen very carefully to the truth we have heard, or we may drift away from it. HEBREWS 2:1, NLT.

There is something about seasons that makes them more than an experience. I don't know what exactly it is. Perhaps it's the manner in which every experience is perfectly orchestrated to pass across a divine message. Sometimes the message(s) being passed across is fresh other times it's a reinforcer. Irrespective of the category the message belongs to I like that it's always an evidence of the father's love that renews our love for the father, deepens our faith, revives our hope, empowers us for the journey and reveals more of the father's will. Having gone through the silent, wordy, dry and flourishing seasons more times than I can number all I can say is I can't enough because there is always more. More ways God will express Himself. More words to hear. More understanding to gain. There is more of everything. I have learnt however that more than the Word I want to hear, I should pay attention to the medium at which the message would be and is being conveyed.

Like a joke you slipped in
Slowly making yourself known
Funny how your time has reached
Awestruck understates my state

VOID

17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through your faith. And may you, having been [deeply] rooted and [securely] grounded in love, 18 be fully capable of comprehending with all the saints (God’s people) the width and length and height and depth of His love [fully experiencing that amazing, endless love];
19 and [that you may come] to know [practically, through personal experience] the love of Christ which far surpasses [mere] knowledge [without experience], that you may be filled up [throughout your being] to all the fullness of God [so that you may have the richest experience of God’s presence in your lives, completely filled and flooded with God Himself]. EPHESIANS 3:17-19, AMP.
17 and I pray that Christ will make his home in your hearts through faith. I pray that you may have your roots and foundation in love, 18 so that you, together with all God's people, may have the power to understand how broad and long, how high and deep, is Christ's love. 19 Yes, may you come to know his love—although it can never be fully known—and so be completely filled with the very nature of God. EPHESIANS 3:17-19, GNT.

"There's a void rising, emptiness returning. There's need to refill, come to me and I will fill your cup. Drown yourself in my word and you'll never run dry." I can hear Jesus saying to me through the Holy Spirit. Truly, I am beginning to feel empty. I am hungrier for God's presence than ever. I spend more time in the place of prayer and worship and I set out time to be under the ministration of the word but I feel like I don't know God, His voice and ultimate will. I need Him more. In this dryness, my solace is the promise that He will fill me with more of Him.

But, there's always a but!😫

NEW

“Forget about what’s happened; don’t keep going over old history. Be alert, be present. I’m about to do something brand-new. It’s bursting out! Don’t you see it? There it is! I’m making a road through the desert, rivers in the badlands. ISAIAH 43:18-19, MSG

But the Lord says, “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago.  Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already—you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there. ISAIAH 43:18-19, GNT

Freshness! Serenity! Laughter! Strength! Newness!!! I am experiencing all round newness. There is an evolution of my person. I am witnessing a paradigm shift, gifts are birthing, order is returning, balance is being restored, healing is taking place and most importantly my relationship with God is changing for good.

REAWAKENING

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. EPHESIANS 5:14-17, KJV

Wake up from your sleep, climb out of your coffins; Christ will show you the light. So watch your step. Use your head. Make the most of every chance you get. These are desperate times! Don't live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants. EPHESIANS 5:14-17, MSG

People of God!!! I'm back😃😁 and I will like to sincerely apologize to everyone that frequents this blog. I know I have denied you of words that should refresh your spirits by inconsistently publishing articles. I am deeply sorry. I really love you and I want to share with you the lessons I learn in this journey of fulfilling His mandate so I'll try harder to be more responsible and committed in doing the assignment the Lord has given to me(blogging that is). I'm so sorry guys.

JUST LIKE ALWAYS

Why would you ever complain, O Jacob,
    or, whine, Israel, saying,

God has lost track of me.
He doesn’t care what happens to me”?
Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening?
God doesn’t come and go. God lasts.
He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine.
He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath.
And he knows everything, inside and out.
He energizes those who get tired,
    gives fresh strength to dropouts.
For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall.
But those who wait upon God get fresh strength.
They spread their wings and soar like eagles,
They run and don’t get tired,
they walk and don’t lag behind.

 ISAIAH 40:28-31, MSG

It was stuffy, where I was. Some people say it's the state of weakness, others call it brokenness, whatever it was it was draining. I needed Him badly (still do). Everything was falling apart, my world was crumbling at my feet, right before my eyes. I was tired- tired of inconsistency, tired of irresponsibility, tired of walking out of purpose, tired of drawing away from God. I was tired of being tired and desperate for the strength of the Lord.

WONDER

"Take a good look at God's wonders, they will take your breath away" - Psalm 66:5

Wonder! Isn't that word just beautiful? I have known this word since forever but the reality of the meaning it carries struck me recently. I have a kid sister (Enny) who fills me with wonder every single time she crosses my thought. One time she is everywhere causing sweet trouble, I'm scolding her but she is smiling sheepishly and giving me that "I'm not affected by all those words you have uttered so can you please stop talking and let's move on?" expression. I'm like "can this babe be any less annoying?", "why won't she sulk or do something dramatic so I can be sure my message got through to her?". No! Not Enny! She would rather cling to me when I clearly said I'm in need of personal space. She would hug me tight when I say I'm no longer friends with her when she is being naughty. This evening we had that silent moment we usually observe when mum is angry. Everyone was trying as much as possible to hold their peace because all and every word we speak could and definitely would be used against us. It wasn't up to 5 minutes after mummy stopped talking actually nagging that Enny brought up a conversation, when she was done talking she started singing not minding what mum's reaction would be. Just how could I not be in awe? She is too full of wonders.

OPEN DECLARATION

Where do I start from?
Just how do I tell the tale of my transformation?
It all began with a decision
A decision to love irrespective.
